Sharing folders and files on your NetExplorer platform

Now that you have a NetExplorer platform, share your folders and files quickly and simply, whatever their size. What more could you ask for?

So how do you go about sharing your documents?

  • Once you are on your NetExplorer platform, pick the folders you want, right-click and choose "Share by link". A window opens offering to send the share link straight away by email or to copy it to the clipboard. You can remove a folder from the drop-down list.
  • You also get several options:
  • 1. "Always the latest version": always sends your contact the most recent version of your document. 2. "Link expiry date": set a date beyond which the share link is no longer valid. 3. "Password": choose a password and give it to your contact so they can open the documents. 4. "Maximum number of downloads": if you want to limit how many times your file can be downloaded, set a maximum. 5. "Force download": your contact has nothing to do when they reach the download page (the document downloads to their computer automatically). 6. "Download receipt": you can receive a confirmation email telling you that your contact has downloaded your folder.
  • Your contact lands on a download page when they click the link. They see the name of the user who shared the folder with them and the date the link expires. They can then download whichever documents they need from the folder by clicking "Download".
  • To share files rather than folders with a colleague or client, select them, right-click and choose "Share by link". You reach your files exactly as before, with the same options. Your contact arrives on a download page and can open whichever documents they need. https://youtu.be/IDSMb6S5RWg
