How do I revoke access to a file I've already shared?

You can do it in just a few clicks from your Voltn dashboard at any time, even after the link has been sent. The recipient will instantly lose all access to the document.

What is the difference between a secure share and a standard WeTransfer link?

A public link remains open to anyone who finds it. A Voltn share is controlled: you can set specific permissions, scheduled expiration, download alerts, and audit logs, even long after the file has been sent.

Is Voltn GDPR compliant and aligned with industry-specific regulations?

Yes. Our hosting is 100% French, GDPR compliant, and ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified, with SecNumCloud qualification currently in progress. Dedicated options such as HDS also cover sector-specific requirements, particularly in healthcare.

Can I share large files without size restrictions?

Yes. Voltn imposes no size limits, whereas email often caps files between 5 and 25 MB depending on the provider. Architectural plans, video files, large exports: everything sends without the need for compression or splitting.

How can I tell if my recipient has downloaded the file?

You will receive a notification as soon as the file is accessed or downloaded. The full history remains available to view and export at any time.

Are my files encrypted during transfer?

Yes. Encryption is applied continuously, both during transfer and once the file is stored. Only authorized recipients can open it.
