Secure the way people sign in to your NetExplorer file-sharing platform.

AUTHENTICATION BY USER

To sign in to the NetExplorer web platform and reach your company's documents, every user enters their own username and password. With NetExplorer, passwords are never stored in plain text, which keeps them confidential.

TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

There are ways to make sign-in stronger still. With NetExplorer (depending on the plan you subscribe to), you can turn on two-factor authentication. This adds a further security step that strengthens how a user is identified, using an SMS code, an OTP or a physical Yubikey.

• SMS: an authentication code is sent by text message to the user's mobile.
• OTP: an external application supporting OTP is used to generate an authentication code.
• Yubikey: a physical token (a USB key) generates a secure authentication code. The code is entered automatically when the user presses the button on the key.

ACCESS POLICIES

Access policies also let you restrict certain access methods, limit the places people can connect from, and set the time slots and days on which signing in is allowed. You could, for instance, allow access to the NetExplorer platform to internal users only, Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm.
