Previewing dwg files online is now possible from NetExplorer
We promised it to some of our customers, and here it finally is. The very latest NetExplorer update lets you preview your files in dwg format online. Until now you could store them on your NetExplorer platform, but viewing that particular format online did not work. From now on you can view plans directly from the web interface, whatever browser you use. (This update will be rolled out during February.)

All you need to do is right-click a .dwg file and click "Preview" to open it online. You can do this from your computer at the office, your own laptop at home, or your tablet on a building site, for example.
The real gain? Everyone involved in a construction project (construction firms, design offices, architecture practices, project owners and others) can view dwg plans wherever they are, with no AutoCAD software installed on their computer.
Viewing dwg files without AutoCAD
After several months of development, NetExplorer is now connected to the official viewing system provided by AutoCAD: the AutoCAD A360 viewer. So, just as you do not need Photoshop to open psd files from NetExplorer, you do not need AutoCAD on your device to preview dwg plans online on your platform.
