The NetExplorer for Outlook plugin has just been updated.

The Outlook plugin developed by NetExplorer, which lets you send attachments with no size limit, has been updated. The new version now gives you stronger tracking and traceability over attachment downloads.

The new features give you better traceability when sending files by email. Has my attachment been downloaded? Who downloaded it, when, and how many times? The new NetExplorer for Outlook plugin answers all of those questions. You can download it free from our website if you have not installed it yet.

Tracking downloads when sending to a group

Find out which recipient on a distribution list has collected the attached files.

When an email with attachments goes out to several recipients, you can switch on the "Track each recipient separately" option to see exactly which of your contacts has collected the files. This is a practical feature: you no longer have to send a separate email to each recipient to find out who has downloaded the attachments and who has not.

As soon as you have attached the files to a new message and entered at least 2 different recipients, the "Track each recipient separately" option appears. Simply tick it and the NetExplorer for Outlook plugin will track downloads per recipient.

Turn on categories to see attachment download status at a glance

Know the download status of an attachment you have sent.

Once they are set up, categories let you see at a glance whether the attachments in your sent messages have been downloaded or are still pending. A dot on the sent message, along with a coloured band inside the body of the email, tells you instantly where the attachments stand.

To turn them on, go to the "NetExplorer" tab in Outlook, then to the options. Click the "NetExplorer options" button, and in the window that opens go to the "Tracking" tab. All that is left is to enable categories and pick the colours you want.

Enjoy precise tracking of attachment downloads

A tracking window gives you full traceability over the files you have sent by email. You can now quickly find out who downloaded a particular attachment, how many times and when. Filters let you display results by download status, by the period of your choice, or both.

To open this window, go to the "NetExplorer" tab in Outlook, then click the "Tracking" button.
